		<description>You can find cheap FireWire cables at Altex and expensive ones at BestBuy. I, too, much prefer FireWire. It&#039;s built for drives. I guess eSATA is a reasonable replacement as well (but the &#039;e&#039; in eSATA is more like a bolt-on to the standard, which was meant to be internal).

USB suffers from requiring more CPU usage and the idea of running a high speed device like a drive on the same bus as my mouse just seems icky...</description>

		<description>I didn&#039;t know firewire was so hard to find these days.  Though firewire is a better technology then USB, I guess USB has saturated everything.  I think I actually prefer firewire external harddrives to the USB ones, but it&#039;s a hassle to make sure you&#039;re computer has a port for it.</description>
