Having about ten years of blog history is pretty awesome. Since I’m out of commission for ultimate, I’m just sitting at home reading through past February blog posts to avoid being super bored. Here’re my summaries:
- 2009 – I closed on my house! It’s been a year!
- 2008 – Looks like I had a lull in my blogging during this time period… but roughly around this time, we completed the endless setlist in the first Rock Band
- 2007 – My first start to finish Bazaarvoice client, Toshiba, launched with Ratings & Reviews
- 2006 – I swapped out an image of Pikachu that people were hotlinking for a picture of Viraj
- 2005 – I made a post about chicken, and apparently hit level 47 in WoW
- 2004 – I was complaining about Chinese being a lot of work
- 2003 – I don’t even know what to say here… I was really nerdy. A bad joke about a girl and/or Perl? Oh my…
- 2002 – I apparently had quite a few other people than myself posting on OliverWEB… but other than that, looks like I was working on MrTechHappy.com
- 2001 – I posted the “All your base are belong to us” animated gif
- 2000 – I did nothing for a few months other than upload some pics
Whew. =p

I’ve returned from our 14th and last Bazaarvoice All-Hands at the Alamo Drafthouse (we’ll be too big to fit next time). It’s sad to leave as it’s been a great quarterly tradition thus far. On the plus side, our next one will be at Salt Lick! YESSSSSS… MEEEAAATTTT…
Speaking of which, I broke down and purchased meatcation.com. Not sure what I’m going to do with it yet, but I have it. =) Maybe I’ll just make it a documentary of our (hopefully) annual Meatcation…
Back on the topic of the All-Hands, I was awarded a Darth Vader TIE Fighter LEGO set from the product group, and a culture award (2000 stock options). I must say that I am greatly honored to have received both of these (one likely worth quite a bit more than the other in monetary terms, but one a lot more fun to play with right now). I was incredibly surprised when I stood up to receive my award and was greeted by a freakin’ standing ovation. You guys are ridiculous. I can’t express how appreciative I am in words, but since I’m not a telepath, a very deep thank you to you all. =) Seriously, I don’t know if I’ll ever have a work experience like this again and you all make it awesome.
On a down note, I’m still not fully recovered from the cold I caught going to Seattle, so I will have to skip out on going to Dallas with Heather, Ryan and Steph (need to come up with a name for that group…) and eating lots of food. =(
With that, I will end with photos from the last Bazaarvoice All-Hands at the Alamo…

The rest are here.

I’m quite disappointed that I managed to get sick on my way to Seattle, but other than that the trip was overall pleasant. My immune system has plummeted in recent years it seems… that, or I expose myself to riskier conditions… who knows.
Tomorrow (or rather, later today) is our quarterly All-Hands at the Drafthouse. This will likely be the last time it’s at the Drafthouse as we’ve grown too large for it. =(
Here’s hoping this annoying cough goes away…

I’m off to Seattle later today (Tuesday) on business, but hopefully I’ll have some amount of fun. =)
This past weekend, we had our usual ultimate in somewhat cold weather, but it was fun anyways. I don’t exactly recall what I did between ultimate and that night, but I do know Sam summoned me to pick his drunk butt up from downtown late at night. I brought along Chancy to pick him up and well, let’s just say Sam made the trip home quite interesting.
I had a conversation with Nancy about dating and I had the idea of going on a date and playing a “deal breaker or not” game where you basically take turns listing aspects about yourself that you think could be deal breakers and the other person says it is or isn’t. I figure this is probably a short term lose-lose situation as the game would either be really boring or get awkward really quickly once you hit a deal breaker. On the plus side, I suppose it will help you in the long run not waste any time.
I’m totally just joking, by the way.
Went to Vox again on Sunday, had lunch at Jim’s with a few peeps then went up to Round Rock for a bit. That night, chilled with Ryan, Heather and Steph by playing way too much hearts and watching Enchanted, which I found amusing. That movie’s genius on Disney’s part with all the recycling they were able to do. I fell asleep in a lovesac, which I apparently humped pretty good. For the record, I’d like to say I burrowed, not humped…
For all of my cyber-stalkers out there thinking they can invade my house while I’m gone, you better watch out. Ryan’s still there and he’ll possibly bite your face off.
I will now end this post with an excerpt from an “artist” who has one of the highest ratios of ridiculous lyrics per character ever.
“He was a skater boy
She said see you later boy
He wasn’t good enough for her
She had a pretty face
But her head was up in space
She needed to come back down to earth” – Avril Lavigne
That song’s called Sk8ter Boi. I’m not joking. Ridiculous.
