Rude Awakening

I woke up from a nap and checked my email, and apparently some business school freshman named Denise Ward sent out an email to all her classes next semester with that stupid “Microsoft will give you money if you forward this to other people” email. ARGH!!!!!!!!!! In fact, I’m signed up for two classes she’s in, so I got the email twice!

I swear, business majors, you need to weed out these kinds of people if you want any credibility whatsoever.

Oriana's Dance

pac.jpg

Went to Oriana’s Dance at RRISD’s PAC on Saturday. Pics are uploaded to the gallery. =) Unfortunately, I didn’t have much time to take many (didn’t help that when she started dancing, a group of people decided it would be a good time to walk past me) and the lighting wasn’t that great… but they turned out so-so I guess.

Photoshop!

Olivia took this picture… and I liked it, so I Photoshopped it a bit and came up with this… I thought it looked neat. shrug Pretty simple Photoshop stuff though. =)

Cows, Monkeys, and Goats

A few minutes ago, while walking out of ENS and listening to Every New Day and Under Pressure, a really goofy smile developed on my face. It hit me how blessed I am in my life and how happy I should be… sooo… I just want to give a shout out to God, family, and friends (despite being jerks most of the time… jerks! haha, j/k =). You guys are awesome, thanks for everything. =)

Blue Like Jazz

So I gave into Gid’s plug and started reading Blue Like Jazz by Donald Miller. Sam bought the book off Amazon or eBay or something like that, so I figured… “what’s there to lose?” and picked it up.

It’s been a long time since I’ve read a book, especially one not required by a class I’m taking, much less one about Christianity. I must say though, this book is pretty good. A lot of things Miller talks about are very real… it’s like I could have written some of those pages myself from personal experience (well, if I were a writer =).

I love some of the analogies he makes too… like how his belief in Jesus is like penguin sex… you’ll have to read the book to figure that one out though. ;)

Anyways, I’m going to plug this book too. When I’m finished, you guys should give it a shot.
